Exciting Educational School Tours at Sunrise River Farm
Invite your class out to the farm for an exciting day of hands on learning at the farm! Our educational school tours are a great way to teach young students the importance of farming, pollination, and where their food comes from!
About the Tour
Our tour is filled with fun and entertaining activities with the purpose of creating a long lasting impression on young minds.
Tours last roughly 1 Hour. Please plan transportation accordingly.
Tour Includes:
- A wagon ride for the class into the Pick-Your-Own Apple Orchard
- Students will pick an apple from the orchard
- Discussion about trees and the growing cycle
- Discussion about the role of bees
- Hop into the wagon for a ride back to the Apple Wash
- Students can watch their apples go through the cleaning process
- Students will get their apples back to munch on
- Visit to the apple cooler
All tours include age appropriate goodie-bags with hand-outs ranging from coloring books to information on pollination.
Tour Information
Our tours are designed for groups of 30 students per tour.
Please bring at least 1 chaperone per 15 students.
Tour reservations are available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday starting September 2nd to October 31st.
